WERN is being developed around that gap: a common connection between technicians, operators and service teams, designed to complement existing emergency arrangements.

We’re seeking practical input from technicians and the organisations responsible for coordinating assistance.

Coverage changes from site to site. WERN brings together app, SMS and phone routes to help crews raise the alarm and coordinate assistance using the connection available.

Our iOS and Android apps bring alerts, incident details and responder coordination together when a data connection is available.

SMS coverage

Our SMS relay provides a text-message route when mobile data is unavailable but the phone can still send and receive SMS.

Phone

Voice coverage

Our phone relay, powered by a custom AI agent, offers a voice-based route to raise the alarm and exchange incident information where calls are available.

Satellite

Exploring integration · Not yet available

We’re exploring satellite integration for the most remote environments, beyond terrestrial coverage. Satellite connectivity is not available in WERN yet.

Each route depends on the relevant network coverage and service availability. WERN complements existing emergency procedures; it does not replace the emergency services.
